I grew up in Yuma Colorado (Northeast Colorado) and graduated from Yuma High School in 2001. I came to the University of Northern Colorado in the fall of 2001 to study Music Education (trumpet emphasis), and eventually graduated in 2005. Immediately following graduation, I began working toward a master's degree in special education at UNC. I also was given the opportunity to join the team at Frontier Academy at the same time. I officially graduated with my master's in special education in May of 2007 and am currently enrolled as a doctoral student at UNC in special education with an emphasis in gifted education. Frontier has been a wonderful place to start my career and I have no intentions of leaving anytime soon.
I got married to my wonderful wife Jenn in March of 2006 and we live in Evans with our two dogs and two cats. I am addicted to learning and would encourage anyone to pursue more education, formal or informal. I also have an addictive personality with a short attention span, so expect to see me juggling, making balloon animals, playing with rubik's cubes, or pretty much anything else I can get my hands on. I still enjoy playing music very much, mainly on the drums and trumpet.
